Coming Out...

This is my first post introducing myself to a world of crochet artists new and seasoned. I have a lot to share and I hope to learn more about my craft and teach those that want to learn and excel in this art.

My experience with crochet is far reaching. I've began learning new languages to break the barrier of the craft. Although diagrams are basically an international language. I strive to get those tips that exist in those foreign words that i don't understand. Something is in those words and I know it. I've become most fascinated with crocheters and their work abroad.  I grab every nugget I can from a picture pattern or diagram and hoard it like I might never see it again. It's so wonderfully amazing all the works I see.

There is so much more to crochet than the stitches. The fabric, colors, texture and design mingle to become a work of art. An extension of the personality of the creator. A gift from the spirit of the creator. After all we are all here on this earth to create.

I get great inspiration from the people that create crochet masterpieces. As I thumb through magazine pages excitement builds and my own creativity blossoms. Every swatch of printed fabric or nature scene becomes a piece that i can create with a hook and yarn or thread that adds dimension or preserves the likeness for years of enjoyment.
